The Slipper is a relatively new style from the Canadian manufacturer, having only been created five years ago compared with their 90+ year history. This simple style is inspired by vintage travel shoes. The uppers are completely unstructured to allow for a glove-like fit that can be folded down for travel storage.
The uppers are constructed from a single piece of Waxy Commander suede produced by British tannery Charles F. Stead & Co. – a name synonymous with the finest leathers since 1900. Using bovine hide, the suede shrinks up to 25% during the unique CFS technique. The hide is tanned without any pigment – the same way all C.F. Stead leathers are tanned – with natural waxes applied to give the suede a waterproof finish.
For an added level of comfort, the soles on this pair are created from Lactae Hevea, natural latex which is moulded into a grooved outsole that is softer and more flexible than a traditional hard sole.
If you plan to wear these with thin socks or no socks at all, we recommend taking a full size down from normal. For any questions on the fit or if you're not sure, .
